National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy Donates to the Palestinian Food Bank to Support Chaste Families in Gaza




Ramallah- Al-Hayat Economic - The Palestinian Food Bank distributed meals to chastely poor families in Gaza with support from the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) and Coca-Cola Middle East.  NBC provided soft drinks in addition to meals funded by a donation from Coca-Cola Middle East.
 
This initiative aims at assisting the Gazan families in need especially in light of the growing number of poor families who lost their houses and properties during the recent Israeli aggression on Gaza. The Palestinian Food Bank distributed three meals for each family on a daily basis over four consecutive days.
 
The General Manager of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy, Mr. Imad al-Hindi confirmed that, “This donation provided by NBC is only to confirm our responsibilities towards the Palestinian people, especially the dear ones in Gaza. We are keen to provide all means of support and assistance to bring back the smile and joy to our families and children who suffered from the brutality of the recent Israeli aggression on the Strip causing social, economic and human tragedies”.  He added, “NBC is keen to help our people in different circumstances and shall always be an effective contributor that is committed to its national and social role.
 
Mr. al-Hindi expressed his pride of the ongoing partnership with the Palestinian Food Bank and of the existence of leading institutions serving the society such as the Palestinian Food Bank.  He explained, “The performance of the Bank reflects the Palestinian deep-rooted morals and the Palestinian commitment to the national duty towards the Palestinian people”.  He stressed that NBC shall continue its efforts along with the efforts exerted by the Food Bank to achieve the human and societal goals, and to reach the largest possible segment of beneficiaries from our people in the Gaza strip.

 

On her part, Suhair Abu Youssef, Chairman of the Palestinian Food Bank valued the role of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy in supporting charitable initiatives and development projects in Palestine, in addition to its ongoing efforts for the support of the people of Gaza in light of the crisis they experienced during and after the recent Israeli aggression. She confirmed that in the presence of charity givers such as the NBC and Coca-Cola Middle East, the Palestinian Food Bank will be able to achieve its goals in reaching the largest number of families in need in Gaza strip and other provinces of the country, which would reduce social problems such as child labor, school dropouts, illiteracy, etc.
