Jerusalem – Palsport News Agency: The Football Academy of Mountain of Olives Club started its practices on the playground of Mountain of Olives Club last month.
Mr. Abdullah al Kiswani, President of Mountain of Olives Club confirmed that the Football Academy is the largest in Jerusalem with more than two hundred players from different age groups being coached under the supervision of elite of the finest Jerusalemite coaches, assistants and players.
The launch of this specialized football academy was generously sponsored by the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy for one whole year aiming at building a Jerusalemite reliable athletic generation to support Jerusalemite teams on one hand, and to foster the Club’s resilience in light of the scarcity of financial resources that the Jerusalemite organizations are facing, especially sports Clubs due to the tough circumstances burdening that the holy city.
Al Kiswani thanked the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy and its General Manager Mr. Imad al-Hindi for their endeavor to support Palestinian sports organizations and clubs in all provinces of the country, especially in Jerusalem due to its special status.
On his part, Mr. al-Hindi pointed out that the sponsorship provided to the Football Academy of Mountain of Olives Club stemmed from the NBC’s endeavor to promote and enhance sports organizations and their various activities to create a generation of youth and juniors capable to compete and excel, which would contribute to upholding the name of Palestine in the sports arena.
