National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy donates a transformer and power cables to Jayyus Municipality

Jayyus- The National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy (NBC) donated a power transformer and power cables to Jayyus Municipality, delivered during a ceremony held at the headquarters of the Municipality in the presence of Ghassan Khreisha, Head of Municipality, and Mr. Zahi Khouri, Chairman of the National Beverage Company Coca-Cola/Cappy.

In his speech, Mr. Khouri emphasized the highest priority lent by NBC to providing support and supplies to remote areas and villages in Palestine.
"Through this partnership with Jayyus Municipality, we help the Municipality to provide citizens' needs, especially the provision of alternatives to ensure power supply in the municipality, as part of NBC's commitment to provide all possible support to the benefit of the local community," said Mr. Khouri.

Mr. Khouri noted that NBC is aware of the problem of frequent power outage in Jayyus Municipality and many other Palestinian regions. "Hopefully, this support will empower the Municipality to maintain continued services to the citizens, as we aspire that our contribution will help find a partial solution for the recurring power outage which prevent citizens from moving on with their lives, business and life affairs," he added.

Mr. Khouri asserted that everyone should cater to the marginalized and remote villages and towns because Palestine is not big cities only.  Further, it is the duty of officials and businessmen to convey the real image on the ground and the suffering of our people to the world to be informed about the suffering sustained by our people and the support needed to enable the rural areas to face the challenges.

On his part, Khreisha pointed out that NBC has maintained permanent cooperation ties with the Municipality. "Thankfully, NBC has responded to our request to supply the Municipality with a new power transformer  and the necessary cables following a study presented by Al-Aqrabawi Company on the needs of Jayyus Municipality.  According to the study, there is a significant shortage of power supply in the area, which suffers frequent outages," he added.

Khreisha asserted that the transformer will solve the problem for forty households at Jayyus Municipality, who used to suffer from recurring power outage over the year. Additionally, it will solve the problem of power outage in NBC's branch in the area.

"At Jayyus Municipality, we are committed to provide appropriate work conditions for companies investing in our region, most importantly, NBC, which represents a national landmark that must be maintained and supported to achieve development," said Khreisha.
